Marketing Manager

Job Description

We are looking for a Marketing Manager who will head up our marketing activities including core processes such as Communication & PR, Social Media and Creative Services.

You know the Esports ecosystem intimately well and have considered yourself a part of the community all your life. You love the hype and buzz that surrounds new launches, game updates and announcements. In your previous roles you have played a key part in orchestrating this? Then you are the candidate we are looking for! You will work closely with the leads of all departments and define and execute marketing strategies and activities so that we can reach company goals and deliver on our product and partnership launches.

Job Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Represent the marketing function in regular management sessions and contribute to strategy setting and roadmaps.
  • Create, present and execute marketing plans based on overall company development goals as well as product and partnership launches and announcements.
  • Manage creative services for marketing asset creation such as cinematic trailers incl. the creation of briefs and budgets.
  • Lead PR & Communication incl. creation of press releases.
  • Grow our community and oversee social media and influencer content and engagement.
  • Create marketing budgets and performance reports.

Prerequisites

  • 5+ years of experience in a marketing or creative services role in game publishing or the wider Esports ecosystem.
  • Significant experience with creative asset creation incl. briefs, budgets and optionally storyboards.
  • Significant experience with PR & communications incl. creation of press releases.
  • Strong communication skills with both large groups and individuals, with excellent written and oral communication abilities.

Who We Are

As big fans of Esports, we began to envision virtual stadiums and a 3D viewing experience a long time ago! With the Virtex Stadium application launching on PC and VR in 2021, we want to make that dream a reality by allowing Esports fans to view gameplay live in 3D, in the centre of a virtual stadium. Partnering with the wider Esports ecosystem (incl. publishers, leagues, teams), we are working towards building the virtual home of Esports.

At Virtex, we’re powered by a team who have taken part in Esports live events as competitors, organisers and dedicated fans so we know what makes a good live show and we’ll choose the stadium over the stream every time. 

Just like our favourite teams, we know it takes different types of skills to win and while Virtex Entertainment is headquartered in London, UK, we support fully remote team members all over Europe so you can work wherever you work best!

Vision & Mission

We want to contribute and make VR an exciting place, because we believe it is the future of gaming and entertainment. Creating a VR experience for Esports feels like a perfect fit, because all of our favourite games are already 3D, whether they are a PC, console or a mobile game.

So far we have just been playing and viewing games through 2D screens. Imagine you could only ever watch a football match on TV and never live in front of you in a real stadium?

We want fans to experience the intense excitement and joy only a live event with with a crowd can provide. VR is the ideal platform to deliver this wherever and whenever but we wouldn't be doing it any justice if we stopped there. In fact, this is where our mission starts as a virtual stadium allows us to create previously impossible experiences and opens up completely new territory with endless creative opportunities.
