Social Media Manager

Job Description

We are looking for a Social Media Manager who can develop our social media presence and build strong online communities through our various social platforms. Esports knowledge and passion would really help you understand what makes our community tick and run engaging campaigns that will delight our diverse group of players. Using these campaigns and content that you have run, we plan to collect, review and formulate learnings that will help to grow our fans over time. For this reason, we feel the right person for this role will be innovative, proactive, and speak the community language.

Job Requirements


  • Identify content opportunities, create assets, write copy and publish all social posts.
  • Oversee community management, engaging in dialogues and answering questions where appropriate on relevant social platforms such as Twitter and Discord.
  • Demonstrate ability to map out social strategy and drive this forward, proven by testing and metrics.

Ideal experience:

  • A love for gaming and esports is a must. We’re really looking for someone who understands our space and how to engage with players and fans.
  • Previous experience growing social media and or managing a community.
  • Experience creating and interpreting relevant analytics.
  • Being comfortable engaging with players and being part of their daily discussions.
  • Reliable, well-organized, and creative.

It would be extra awesome if you have:

  • Experience working directly with an esports team, organization or similar.
  • Reddit and Twitter savvy  – you know your memes!
  • Experience in running creative marketing campaigns- we love to see your achievements!
  • Knowledge of one or more foreign languages is a plus.


  • Ability to work fully remotely (limited to UK and European time zones to facilitate collaboration).
  • In place of traditional PTO, we have unlimited holiday but we expect you to use 20 days minimum each year.

Who We Are

As big fans of esports, we began to envision virtual stadiums and a 3D viewing experience a long time ago! With the Virtex Stadium application launching on PC and VR in 2021, we want to make that dream a reality by allowing esports fans to view gameplay live in 3D, in the centre of a virtual stadium. Partnering with the wider esports ecosystem (incl. publishers, leagues, teams), we are working towards building the virtual home of esports.

At Virtex, we’re powered by a team who have taken part in esports live events as competitors, organisers and dedicated fans so we know what makes a good live show and we’ll choose the stadium over the stream every time. 

Just like our favourite teams, we know it takes different types of skills to win and while Virtex Entertainment is headquartered in London, UK, we support fully remote team members all over Europe so you can work wherever you work best!

Creating a VR and cross-platform experience for esports feels like a perfect fit for us because all of our favourite games are already 3D, whether they are a PC, console or a mobile game.
